The position is preferably for full-time, but will consider part-time as well.The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist and his/her associates in providing patients with dental care. The ideal candidate for this position is a team player that is hardworking, dedicated and willing to learn. Dental Assistants are required to have excellent customer service skills, as well as an understanding of oral health and general healthcare. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, a professional demeanor and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Assist dentist during dental examinations and procedures, as well as to examine x-rays and perform simple procedures under dental supervision.Explain treatment options, and obtain written consent from patients.Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and disinfection procedures.Execute physician's orders regarding medications, denials of treatment, patient dismissal or transfer, emergencies, and other issues.Keep patient records organized and up-to-date.Advise patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
