This is a remote position covering the Southeast, offering a great balance between work and personal life.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers within food and beverage manufacturers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base and increase sales.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to key decision-makers, showcasing the benefits and features of our food ingredients.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including customer profiles, sales activities, and market feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the food ingredients industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
- In-depth knowledge of food ingredients and their applications in various food products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
