We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to various stages of the engineering process, from preliminary analysis to final design, and to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals. The successful candidate will have a background in engineering, be proficient in Microsoft Word, and have a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems, Enercalc, and Autodesk Revit is a plus.
Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in the preparation of design documents and drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards.
2. Conducting preliminary engineering analysis and basic mathematical calculations to support design work.
3. Collaborating closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and homeowners, providing clear and effective communication.
4. Performing code research to ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
5. Participating in construction management activities, including site visits and monitoring construction progress.
6. Utilizing strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Continuous learning and application of the latest engineering technologies and methodologies.
8. Upholding a professional and positive attitude in all interactions, demonstrating commitment to team success.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 1 years of experience in an engineering technician role or similar.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with Windows Operating Systems.
3. Experience with Enercalc and Autodesk Revit is highly desirable.
4. Excellent drafting skills, with a strong attention to detail.
5. Solid understanding of basic mathematics and the ability to conduct preliminary engineering analysis.
6. Experience in construction management.
7. Excellent communication skills, with proven experience communicating with contractors, homeowners, and architects.
8. A professional and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Knowledge of structural design principles and code research.
