Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Implement cost accounting systems and strategies to support the financial infrastructure of the company.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports, including raw material costs, manufacturing costs, labor costs, and overhead costs.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with the general ledger.
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate product costing.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze production variances and their impact on production costs.
• Review and analyze margin reports for product lines.
• Conduct audits regularly to ensure the accuracy of financial and non-financial data.
• Collaborate with the management team to streamline cost accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Maintain cost accounting system and work on ledger and cost audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Variance Analysis and General Ledger.
• Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of financial reporting and cost accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• A proactive problem solver who can make sound decisions based on data analysis.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
