Premier fine dining restaurant in the heart of Aspen, CO is looking for a hospitality driven professional to take on the position of General Manager. The GM will oversee all aspects of operations for the restaurant and assist the Owner to ensure that day-to-day business operations run smoothly and efficiently. The GM will play a direct role in bolstering our company culture, team member training, overall guest experience, and ensuring that office and administrative tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner. The GM is responsible for operating in line with budget goals including labor percentages, COGS, and sales numbers. The best candidate will thrive by working closely with the Owners, Executive Chef, Director of Beverage, and line level staff to promote and drive the team culture.Job Responsibilities

Understand, implement, and execute policies, procedures, and standards related to daily business operationsManage and supervise the team on the floor, nurturing a positive work environment while ensuring that all business objectives and quality standards are metStrong knowledge, adherence, and implementation of all policies and procedures regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, standards and procedures including restaurant cultureBe willing to discipline a subordinate and accurately document an incident as neededEnsure safety and sanitation procedures are known, understood, and followedSchedule staff in accordance with anticipated business needs, while also meeting labor cost objectivesPrepare reports as required, relating to procedures, efficiency, attendance, etc.Respond to and resolve customer complaints and comments as neededBecome proficient with our POS “Toast” system and be prepared to train new and existing team members in our computer dining softwareMaintain proper music volume levels, lights, and overall restaurant appearance and ambianceBe ready and willing to actively participate in service tasks such as: bussing tables, running food/drinks, re-marking flatware/glassware, stocking items in server stations, preparing drinks, taking reservations, and processing guest payment & house account interfaceProgram POS buttons to ensure items are accurate in description and priceAssist in ordering dry goods, office supplies, and other useful items for the restaurantMaintain excellent care of the physical space including restaurant cleanliness and organizationExecute excellent delegation skills and possess the ability to make quick decisions and problem solve on your feetContinually mentor and provide opportunities to advance the education and development of staff as it relates to food and beverage serviceShowcase great listening skills and be able to take direction from individuals in higher-level positions.Fully understand and comply with all federal, Colorado, Pitkin County and municipal laws and regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guestsAttend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement. Be present during all executive meetings; prepared to respond comprehensively to all questions, concerns, and issues regarding Public Relations, Costs and Human ResourcesEnsure that all equipment and the overall environment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the preventative maintenance programsTake a direct role in performance reviews for existing team membersHandle money, deposits, and accurately process daily tip sheets for FOH staffHave a working knowledge of restaurant equipment and service companies related to the specific equipment we useBecome literate in P&L forms and forecasting relevant data and percentagesBe proficient in staff mediation when necessary alongside proper documentation of such meetingsTest staff regarding their menu, beverage, and service knowledgeAssign sections to servers and bartenders when needed“Cut” staff as necessary to mirror business levelsEnsure that staff side-work is properly completed on a daily basisBe willing and prepared to go “above and beyond” for our guests during serviceAssist with daily, nightly & as needed trips to bank for change and depositsAssign cleaning, follow thru & seasonal duties to staff as neededJob Qualifications

Prior experience working as General Manager in a hospitality environment or equivalent level in a large-scale hospitality organizationAt least 3 years previous high-level experience in well-established restaurant with minimum 100 seatingExperience in opening a new restaurant - a plusWorking understanding of human resource principles, practices and proceduresExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to deliver constructive feedback and lead by exampleComputer skills in basic formats like Word, Excel, all Google platformsElevated understanding of culinary and beverage termsSalary:

$95,000-$115,000 DOEBenefits:Health & Dental Insurance provided at 80%401k Retirement Plan with up to 4% match*Employee housing*
