CDC needed for a waterfront restaurant in Laguna. Touting some of the best food in the area, the Chef/Owner is looking for a creative Chef to take over the reins of this busy restaurant. This is for a passionate chef that still loves to cook and be a part of their kitchen. Being a seaside restaurant, the menu is focused on seafood and demands someone that has worked with seasonal seafood and has a huge passion in working with hyper seasonal product.
This chef must also have a strong grasp of costs and operations as this is a busy restaurant that also does a good number of private parties. A past with some catering or special events is a plus.
Offering a starting base salary of up to $110k and plenty of room for financial growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food production, inventory management, and shift management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize menu offerings based on customer feedback and seasonal availability of ingredients.
