Are you a seasoned professional in the construction industry with a knack for accurate estimation and budgeting? We are searching for a dedicated, detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role where you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, including materials, labor, and time. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the Multifamily construction sector and a proven track record of delivering successful estimates that lead to profitable projects.

Responsibilities:

As a Construction Estimator, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Analyze and comprehend project blueprints, technical drawings, and other project specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.2. Conduct thorough risk analysis and prepare detailed cost reports.3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors on project cost estimates.4. Evaluate the profitability and viability of a product or service using risk analysis software.5. Engage in bid preparation and submission process, including preparing cost breakdowns and tracking changes that can affect project costs.6. Consult with industry experts to resolve cost discrepancies and discrepancies in project documents.7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on market trends, prices, and new products.8. Prepare and present cost information for the management team, clients, and project teams.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator in the Multifamily construction sector.3. Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.4. Proficiency in computer software for job costing, scheduling, estimating, and project management (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).5. Strong mathematical and IT skills, with an ability to visualize complex spatial layouts.6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen attention to detail.7. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a keen attention to detail.8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and estimates.9. Professional certification in estimating or a related field would be an added advantage.
