Are you a seasoned professional in the construction industry with a knack for precise estimation and budgeting? If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team. You will be playing a crucial role in our construction projects, providing accurate estimates for heavy civil, underground utilities, excavation, and earthworks. This is a permanent position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package along with an opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities:

As a Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Develop comprehensive, detailed project capital cost estimates for heavy civil, underground utilities, excavation, and earthworks projects.2. Review and interpret civil design drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.3. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.4. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.5. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.6. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.7. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.8. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.9. Present prepared estimates for approval by client or senior management.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications:

1. Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry.2. Proven experience in estimating heavy civil, underground utilities, excavation, and earthworks projects.3. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.5. Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.6. Proficient in relevant software including CAD and estimation software.7. Superior communication and negotiation skills.8. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
