This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our high-stakes litigation efforts, primarily focusing on medical malpractice and personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the courtroom, with significant first chair trial experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills, a passion for advocacy, and the ability to manage complex cases from inception through trial and appeal. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of practice experience.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of complex medical malpractice and personal injury cases, conducting all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal.Develop and implement litigation strategies, conduct extensive legal research, and draft complex legal documents.Represent clients in court proceedings, demonstrating exceptional advocacy skills and a deep understanding of the rules of evidence and procedure.Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, leveraging strong negotiation skills and a keen understanding of case value.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the effective management of cases.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments and trends in the field of medical malpractice and personal injury law.Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations, maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.

Qualifications:

JD from an accredited law school and a current license to practice law in the jurisdiction.Minimum of 7 years of experience as a trial attorney, with a focus on medical malpractice and personal injury cases.Proven record of success in first chair trial experience is required.Exceptional litigation skills, including case analysis, legal research, drafting of legal documents, and courtroom advocacy.Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to achieve favorable settlements for clients.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and interact with individuals at all levels.Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities.Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collegial and collaborative approach to work.Proficient in legal research tools and software.
