Job Summary As a Server at Kama Bistro, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests by delivering outstanding service, sharing menu knowledge, and ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You will work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure a seamless flow of service while upholding the restaurant's standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities - Greet guests warmly and provide an engaging dining experience.
- Present menus, explain dishes, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and quality.
- Be knowledgeable about the menu, including ingredients, allergens, spice levels, and wine pairings.
- Upsell and suggest menu pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Monitor tables, anticipate guest needs, and respond to requests efficiently.
- Ensure a clean and organized dining area, including resetting tables for the next service.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Follow all restaurant policies, health and safety regulations, and alcohol service guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient shift.
- Handle guest concerns professionally, resolving issues with a focus on hospitality.
Qualifications & Skills - Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and beverages (or willingness to learn).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude with a passion for hospitality.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Must be at least 21 years old (or age as per local alcohol serving laws).
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
