The Ranger Group, a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for a Direct Hire role with a leading Aerospace & Defense Contractor in the Dallas Area . This role will require work to be completed 100% Onsite.
The primary roles for this position are to: participate in satellite systems design, engineering support services, training activities and take direction from a senior level engineer or manager; participate in delivering engineering services including design, testing, troubleshooting and analysis; work alongside peers to drive innovative program and solutions; and complete engineering projects in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner.

Job Duties:

• Provide engineering support to customers, sales and operations for satellite communications, including testing, system design, troubleshooting, documenting solutions and applying principles of electrical, physics and material science
• Assure system and product quality by designing test methods, testing finished product and system capabilities, and confirming assembly and installation processes
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Troubleshoot design or fabrication problems with electrical and electromechanical systems, identify root cause of problems, and develop and implement creative andpragmatic solutions
• Provide engineering information by answering questions andrequests
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with governmentregulations
• Producetechnicallysounddesignswhichmeetcontractrequirements,goodengineeringpractices and solve the customer's needs and/orproblems
• Maintainawarenessofcurrentstate-of-the-arttechnologiesandtrendsinelectricalengineering and suggest product improvementideas
• Travel may be required as needed, including both domestic andinternational
• Provide high level technical support to customers and otherdepartments
• Provide training to employees andcustomers
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from ABET-accreditedprogram
• Excellent electrical aptitude
• RFKnowledge
• Hands on, mechanical aptitude is aplus
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing andswitching
• CAD design software a plus (AutoCAD, Draftsight, Visio,etc.)
• Familiarity with Configuration Management Tools (Solidworks PDM) aplus
• Experience integrating electromechanical components in custom enclosures
• Ability to solve non-routine problems by integrating relevant resources
• Ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and as a member of cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and oral communicationskills
• Ability to work with aggressive programschedules
• Ability to prioritize and support multipletasks
• Candidates must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance upon hire
