Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.Tax Accountant, Business Tax Services, PCS Standard (Financial Services Office) (Senior) (Multiple Positions) (1579104), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, San Francisco, CA.Provide business tax services to help client companies meet complex demands for tax reporting, compliance and planning, and tax policy and controversy. Advise on areas such as global compliance and reporting, tax accounting and risk advisory, tax performance advisory, business tax advisory, quantitative services and/or personal tax services. Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine tax liability within an organization. Advise clients on long-range tax plans and management about tax strategies and issues. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law or a related field and 2 years of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law or related field and 1 year of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning.
Must have 1 year of experience in high-net-worth individual tax, partnership, private capital or international tax projects.
Must have 1 year of experience in US income, estate, gift, and goods and services taxation.
Must have 1 year of experience in conducting tax law research.
Must have 1 year of experience in automated tax processing systems, including one of the following: GoSystems, CS Planner, Excel, and/or Checkpoint SurePrep.
Must have 1 year of experience in Federal Income Tax and State/City Income Tax.
Must have 1 year of experience in Fixed Asset Depreciation.
Must have 1 year of experience in High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth.
Must have 1 year of experience in one of the following:o Tax Penalty Abatements;o Federal Corporate and Partnership Tax Returns; AND/ORo Trust Fund Recovery Penalty.
