Trust & Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join its
Estate Planning Practice Group in
Madison . This is a unique opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management to work with high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations.
Candidate Profile: - JD from an ABA-approved law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in Wisconsin . Timely admission to the Wisconsin Bar will be a condition of employment.
- 1-4 years of substantive experience in estate planning , trust and estate administration , and tax planning .
- Exposure to drafting complex estate planning and business succession documents for high-net-worth individuals .
- Familiarity with gift , estate , and generation-skipping tax planning strategies .
- Experience assisting with probate proceedings for both taxable and non-taxable estates .
- Exposure to processing Federal gift and estate tax returns .
- Background in charitable giving structures and tax-exempt organization planning .
- Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities: - Advise clients on sophisticated estate planning and wealth preservation strategies .
- Draft wills , trusts , business succession planning documents , and charitable giving instruments .
- Provide counsel on estate , gift , and generation-skipping transfer tax matters .
- Assist with estate and trust administration , including probate proceedings and tax compliance.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys to develop innovative estate planning solutions for clients.
