Job Description Job DescriptionWinston Law Group, P.C.—an employment law firm representing employees—has an immediate opening for an associate attorney.Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following (Other Duties May Be Assigned):Drafting pleadings, motions/oppositions, discovery requests and responses, mediation briefs, and other routine litigation documentsAppear at court hearings and argue motionsTake and defend depositionsExperience with litigation in state and federal court proceduresParticipate in the formulation of litigation strategies and have primary day-to-day handling responsibility for a limited number of casesDraft settlement documents including settlement agreements, class notices, and proposed orders and judgmentsQualifications:Must be licensed to practice law and be a member in good standing with the California State BarKnowledge of state and federal court procedural rulesAt least one (1) year of prior litigation experienceMust have experience with summary judgment motionsMust be a team-player, but be able to work independently on assigned tasksAbility to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Microsoft OutlookExcellent professionalism and communication skillsStrong attention to detailStrong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skillsPrior experience with drafting pleadings, motions/oppositions discovery, case management statements, notices, and other legal documentsThe firm offers health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and paid time-off among other benefits.Winston Law Group, P.C. is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to providing equal opportunity in all of our employment practices, including but not limited to selection, hiring, assignment, re-assignment, promotion, transfer, and compensation.
