*Job title:* Registered Nurse - Acute Care

*Schedule:* Full-time, 72 hours per pay period; three, 12 hour shifts per week-

7:00pm to 7:30am

Weekend rotation: Every 4th weekend _Weekend shift differential available_

Holiday rotation: Paid Holidays

*Position Summary:*

The Registered Nurse position provides quality, professional, general nursing care to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating patient care for a group of patients in the department. Must adapt appropriately to changes in daily assignments, patient status changes, and unit needs.

*Position Responsibilities:*
* Initiate patient/family education plan and discharge needs according to the individualized needs of the patient/family, as prescribed by provider and/or hospital policy.
* Delegate to and collaborates with other health team members in planning and providing care based on patient needs.
* Learn and maintain skills and equipment competencies as needed.
* Safely care for multiple patients. Maintains a safe environment for patients and uses safety precautions appropriately.
* Demonstrate understanding and utilization of Universal Precautions, asepsis and infection control procedures.
* Ensure proper handling of specimens.
* Float to other units as necessary.
* Participate in department or unit quality improvement activities.
* Attend unit meetings in accordance with unit policy.


* Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.
* Must hold and maintain nursing license. RNs with an active Compact Licensure are to obtain a Wisconsin RN license within 90 days of relocation.
* BLS within 1 month of hire, ACLS within 2 years of hire, PALS encouraged within 2 years of hire
* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.


* Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
* Comprehensive nursing skills and general knowledge of equipment.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
