An established orthopedic practice in Columbia, SC is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a fellowship trained surgeon specializing in spine surgery and general orthopedics.

*Responsibilities:*
* Full-time permanent position
* Monday-Friday schedule
* Mix of clinic/OR/hospital rounding
* 6 weekends of call per year
* 90% spine surgery
* Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
* Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
* Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

*Qualifications:*
* South Carolina State License
* Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
* Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
