We are on the hunt for a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Permanent Controller to join our vibrant team in the Accounting and Finance industry. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with a background in construction and manufacturing to play a pivotal role in our company's financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial reports, direct investment activities, and implementing cash/cost management. This role demands a high level of strategic thinking, leadership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.2. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.3. Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.4. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.5. Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.6. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.7. Leverage strengths of the current finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.8. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required.2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.5. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.7. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.8. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.9. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.10. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
