Locums - Hartford, Connecticut, Hematology/Oncology OpeningClinical Role:

    • Dates of Coverage: ASAP-6 months with opportunity to extend
    • Monday through Friday Consult Coverage 8:00AM - 4:30PM with rotating weekends
    • Practice Setting: Inpatient Oncology Unit
    • Reason for Coverage: Coverage while we recruit Retirement
    • Call Schedule: Overnight telephonic call (rotating)
    • Call Ratio: Approx 1:8
    • Patient Population for Required Coverage: Adult, Geriatric
    • Percentage of the Practice is Hematology %, Oncology %, Internal Medicine %:
      • Hem 60%
      • Onc 40%
      • IM 0%
    • Number of Physicians in Practice: 7
    • Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage
    • Number of APPs Provide Coverage: 1 dedicated for inpt coverage: 11 total some round on the weekends
    • Average Number of Patients Per Day - Hospital (Call/Rounding): Variable, approx 5-20
    • Clinical Area: Oncology - Inpatient Setting, Hematology - Inpatient Setting
    • Trauma Level/Designation I
    • Documentation System/EMR: Epic
    • Administration of Chemotherapy: Nurse oncologist
    • Required Procedures: Chemotherapy - Intrathecal
    • Required Duties:
      • Participation on a Tumor Board
      • Orders Tests
      • Orders Images
      • Prescribes
      • Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required
      • Board Certified Oncologist - Preferred
      • Active CT License - Required
