Job Details

This exceptional team has a well-above average retention ration of both their clients and employees, and they are currently in growth mode once again looking to add another Superintendent skilled in civil concrete and steel structures.

Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the on-site construction team.Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.Reviewing the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these.Placing orders for materials and equipment required on site.Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.Create and execute project schedule and look ahead schedulesKeep timecard for crews with quantities of work installed weeklyRecognize changes to the scope of work or contract and notify project managerConduct weekly toolbox safety talksProvide layout for crews and inspect the work for accuracy and qualityModel a positive and professional attitude for crewProvide ongoing coaching and discipline when needed to crew membersCorrect any unsafe acts or conditions on project site immediately

Requirements:

5+ years as a construction superintendentExperience running projects for DOT, USACE or other Government entitiesProficient in MS Office Word and ExcelMust be able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, survey stakesAble to effectively communicate with craftworkers, management and clientsOutstanding organizational skillsAbility to schedule crews, equipment and materials in advance of when the work onsite.Create and execute look ahead schedulesPrior experience managing crewsPrior experience with constructing stream channels, culverts, road improvements, underground wet utilities, cast in place concrete structures including bridges and retaining walls, concrete and steel repairs, ADA and site concrete
