Planet Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a specialized nursing position in Lander, Wyoming.

The ideal candidate will perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments. They will appropriately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The candidate will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. They will assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. The candidate will collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. They will evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. The candidate will work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. They will circulate during C-sections, attend deliveries assisting physicians as needed. The candidate will follow appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients. They will attend the neonatal station in the C-section suite and completely assess the neonate post delivery. The candidate will attend fetal monitoring certification classes every two years and STABLE certification class if offered is NRP certified. They will be able to identify necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients.
Facility Requirements: The candidate must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications; must be attached to submission (Must be through the American Heart Association), RQI not accepted. They must have a WY RN license, must be attached to resume. The candidate must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience. This can include taking care of OB/GYN patients (post-ophysterectomy), Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum. The candidate may be required to float to another unit depending on facility census.
