Operating in 48 states and the District of Columbia, we provide closing services in all 50 states.Job Responsibilities:The Chief Title Officer works with the Title and Sales Departments, RE agents, buyers, and sellers to resolve detailed and complex title issues. Responsibilities include:Ensuring underwriting guidelines are followed by staff.Educating and training title officers.Assisting title officers in understanding CA law and claims history.Drafting and preparing indemnity agreements and high-liability approval applications.Examining existing orders for underwriting compliance.Job Requirements:The ideal candidate must have:A high level of title knowledge and expertise, having run their own unit for at least 10 years.Up-to-date knowledge of all underwriting processes, California title law, and procedures.The ability to identify property insurability and advise title units on technical issues.A High School Diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred).Excellent verbal/written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities.The capability to meet deadlines and follow departmental procedures.The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.EEO Statement:
