  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • OCN - Oncology Certified Nurse
    Job Details
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted
  • Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
  • General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Oncology diagnoses from diagnosis to death, Hematology diagnoses, DNR/CC, Oncologic emergencies, Occasional off service; chemo precautions, morphine drips, dilaudid drips, cadd pumps, pca pumps
  • Ratio / Census: 1:6; 19 Beds with average daily census of 15
  • Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
  • RTO: MAX 7 days
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Floating: Yes, within facility and possibly at Piedmont Augusta Summerville (3 miles from main campus)
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

  • Certifications Required: BLS Required; OCN Required
  • Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

  • Contract Length: 14 days
  • Holidays: Major Holidays are listed below: New Year’s Eve and Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
