Michelin Two Star - COMMIS  Restaurant  in Oakland  is looking for a dynamic dining room Captain/Sommelier.

The Captain/Sommelier role is an integral part of the FOH team at  COMMIS .
We are looking for a professional, hospitality-focused person with 2-3 years of experience as a fine-dining server  with  sommelier  experience . Preference will be given to candidates with previous FOH experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant.  A successful candidate will possess a solid base knowledge of wine and a desire to continue their wine education.

Responsibilities include dining setup before service ( sweeping, folding napkins, polishing wares and furniture pieces, etc. ) and breakdown after service closing duties (sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, oiling table tops, restocking and all necessary preparation for the following day).  Weekly deep cleaning is part of this position. 4-5 shifts per week.

Employment Benefits: 

• $16.89/hourly + service charges & tips ($90,000 - $95,000 /year)
