The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive key new operational initiatives. They will also be open to innovating upon old and existing processes, bringing new scale, rigor, and insights to our business. In particular, they will be responsible for creating and executing a vision for the Headcount COE. Over time, this work could also include finding ways to bring new technologies and methodologies into how we do our jobs (e.g., Machine-Learning powered forecasting).Key Responsibilities:Build and lead a high-performing team of analysts and contractors focused on headcount management, centralization, and optimization.Design and execute strategies to enhance headcount forecasting, reporting, and operational efficiency within the COE, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Identify opportunities to innovate and streamline headcount planning processes, leveraging data insights to influence priorities and drive meaningful improvements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate headcount planning with broader financial and business goals, while ensuring accuracy in forecasting and reporting.Oversee Workday metrics, serving as a first point of contact for headcount-related questions and ensuring robust headcount-driven expense dashboards and reporting tools.Monitor and analyze headcount trends, risks, and opportunities, translating insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.Partner with FP&A teams to develop and refine headcount reporting, Workday maintenance, and financial system calculations, ensuring consistency and clarity across functions.Lead the development of scalable workstreams, projects, and operational processes, driving continuous improvement in alignment with company culture and values.Build and maintain headcount driven expense dashboard, including vendor spend level summary and key metrics and ratios.Foster a culture of excellence and inclusivity within the team, providing mentorship, actionable feedback, and a focus on diversity, inclusion, and belonging.QualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 5 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience.Preferred QualificationsMinimum 3 years of people management experience.3+ years of experience in the technology industry.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to tackle complex issues.Proven track record of building and leading teams.Proficiency in data analysis and visualization, including knowledge of tools like Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Python, R, or similar.Strong commercial awareness and ability to generate insights from data.Ability to synthesize and present complex financial and operational issues clearly.Proven ability to partner, build trust, and influence senior executives.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across groups.Ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.Propensity to learn, identify opportunities for improvement, and question assumptions.Ownership mindset with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.Suggested SkillsData AnalysisExpense ManagementForecastingProcess ImprovementProject ManagementLinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $123,000 to $199,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location.
