Our office is looking for an experienced part time to possible full time CMA to help cover in 2 offices that we have, one in West Orange and one in Roseland. Must have at least 2-3 years experience. We are a very busy OB/GYN office. Candidate must be able to have flexible hours to start early in the morning sometimes as early as 7 am and evening hours sometimes as late as 6 pm as needed.

We are currently recruiting a Certified Medical Assistant for our OB/GYN of East Brunswick practice in Cranford, NJ.
Per the guidance of Axia Women’s Health patient protocol and care center physicians, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) professionally engages Axia Women’s Health patients by assisting with patient care, recording critical patient information, and providing information to patients so that they may fully utilize and benefit from our clinical services
Essential Functions:
Preparing exam/procedure rooms between patient visits, adhering to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods – Per infection control protocols, cleaning rooms, setting up instruments and equipment, and maintaining and cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program.
Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting as needed with walking transfers or dressing.
Maintaining patient records by accurately recording patient medical history, vital statistics, medications, etc., and obtaining and scanning any lab or radiology reports, as well as any hospital notes into the EMR in order that the provider may have complete patient information.
Performing venipuncture and collecting specimens as needed.
Assisting provider with various procedures and screenings.
Relaying instructions and pertinent information to patients
Completing forms/requisitions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and that claims can be properly billed.
Adhering to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.

Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Current national certification as a Medical Assistant, such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, required
CPR certification, required
Minimum 1 year of recent medical assistant experience in a medical facility/office or combination of experience and documented evidence of medical assistant internship
eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience, beneficial
OB/GYN or Women’s Health experience, preferred
