The idealcandidate will manage complex cardiac post-operative patients with expertise andindependence, handling a variety of advanced procedures and critical careresponsibilities.

In this role, youwill provide comprehensive care for a robust cardiac post-operative ICU,managing a patient census of 8 or more. Responsibilities include safelymanaging ventilators, vasopressors, inotropes, medications, and arrhythmias, aswell as advanced cardiac devices such as VV/VA ECMO, IABP, Impella,post-transplant cases, and VAD. You will perform critical procedures, includingcentral line and arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion and removal,intubations, and effectively managing pacing wires, sternotomy sites, and EVHsites. Collaboration with the multidisciplinary ICU team will be essential toensure optimal patient care and outcomes. This role requires a high level ofprocedural competence and the ability to independently manage complex cases ina fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
  • Active Illinois (IL) state license.
  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Board Certified.
  • Current DEA license.
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS.
  • Experience in a cardiovascular ICU with advanced procedural competence is highly preferred.
