POSITION / STATUS : Chef de Cuisine; full-time, exempt
REPORTS TO : Executive Chef
COMPENSATION: $100,000 - $115,000; bonus eligible
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chef de Cuisine will manage kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality food preparation. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will ensure the menu is executed to perfection. You’ll supervise the kitchen team, train staff, and maintain a collaborative environment. Managing inventory, ordering, and maintaining cost control will be key, as well as enforcing cleanliness and food safety standards. You’ll motivate and inspire and ensure effective communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring timely and accurate service, and exceptional guest experiences.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in a leadership role in fine dining or Michelin Star or Bib Gourmad rated kitchens.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team with a humble, collaborative approach that fosters a positive work environment.
- Expertise in maintaining kitchen with an adaptable approach ensuring efficiency, managing resources, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.
- Solid understanding of inventory management, cost control, and maintaining food safety standards.
