Job DescriptionExcellent Direct Hire Opportunity for our client located in Chicago, IL - As a HR Specialist

A vital part of the Human Resources team, responsible for ensuring smooth operations of HR processes, maintaining compliance, and supporting both employees and management. The role involves data management, employee engagement, recruitment, and administration of HR policies and systems, all while fostering a professional and respectful workplace.

Pay Rate: $70k+ based on experience

Work ExperienceWhat you’ll be doing:Maintain accurate employee records and data in the HRIS, including entries for new hires, updates, leaves of absence, and terminations.Assist in payroll preparation by reviewing timecards and addressing payroll or benefits-related inquiries.Support recruitment efforts for hourly employees, coordinate with temporary staffing agencies, and manage agency relationships.Facilitate new hire orientations and assist with onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for employees.Oversee employee leave management, including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, and workers’ compensation cases.Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities, meetings, and events to foster a positive work environment.Address employee relations matters, such as counseling, coaching, and corrective actions, while maintaining compliance with workplace regulations.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required.At least three years of HR experience; manufacturing industry experience is preferred.Familiarity with employment laws and regulations at local, state, and federal levels.Bilingual in Cantonese or Spanish? That’s a bonus!
