The Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO) at Samaritan leads pharmacy services across the organization, ensuring compliance with legal and accreditation requirements while driving operational excellence. With over five years of pharmacy management experience, the CPO plays a crucial role in improving medication management and achieving organizational goals.

As the CPO, you will have the opportunity to deliver optimal pharmacy services system-wide. Samaritan pharmacy services include; inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, medication management, pharmacy residency programs, and 340B operations.

    • Ensure that the pharmacy meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements while complying with applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards.
    • Drive the organization's goals of becoming a Highly Reliable Organization by implementing best practices in quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency.
    • Foster an environment that values and supports the workforce, focusing on improving employee retention and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Provide executive oversight to enhance financial stability, ensuring sustainable performance and effective resource allocation.
    • Develop and execute key strategic initiatives and operating plans that extend the mission of SHS and meet employee/patient needs
    • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement across multiple functional areas.
    • Track and report on operating results, demonstrating consistent growth and progress towards achieving organizational goals.
  • Qualifications:

    • Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required.
    • Five (5) years experience in a pharmacy management position required.
    • Experience in Board of Pharmacy rules/regulations required.
    • Health system experience strongly preferred.
    • Experience with 340B preferred.
    • All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment/post offer drug screen.
