Job Details We are seeking a seasoned Legal Assistant/Receptionist who will support our Family Law practice. If you are versatile and willing to provide hybrid support which would involve reception, legal administrative and intake responsibilities, please apply! Key Responsibilities:
- Handle front-desk duties, including call management, client reception, and schedule coordination.
- Responsible for managing client intake calls, meticulously gathering and recording essential information to assemble prospective client profiles for attorney review, and coordinating initial consultations to establish a seamless start to the client-attorney engagement process.
- Maintain and manage legal documentation and client files with the utmost confidentiality.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, facilitating efficient operation of the legal office.
- Craft and prepare detailed legal documents, including family law pleadings and motions, with precision.
- Utilize strong communication skills for effective verbal and written interactions with clients and colleagues.
Required Skills:
- Ideally 5+ years as a receptionist/admin/legal assistant in a law firm. Open to experience in any practice area (the firm practice's family law). Firm will also consider Paralegals who are willing to handle hybrid tasks as listed above. They would be able to provide paralegal work immediately if the candidate is capable.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various administrative tasks seamlessly.
- Proficiency in office software and legal databases for document management and research.
- Keen attention to detail in drafting legal correspondence and documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills for creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients and supporting attorney-client relationships.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal setting.
