Summary
Saint Xavier University invites expressions of interest for part-time adjunct faculty teaching opportunities in the writing program for the academic year. Applicants should have at minimum a Master's degree in English or a closely related field, and experience teaching. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted by the director of the writing program for an interview. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the Department does its best to give timely notice about available courses and potential course cancellations.

Qualifications
PhD or ABD in Writing (Rhetoric, Composition, Writing Studies)

• or PhD / ABD in related field (literature, technical communication, or similar) with experience teaching composition at the college level
• or PhD in a Liberal Arts field with extensive experience teaching composition at the college level
• or a Master's (MA) degree in Writing (Rhetoric, Composition, Writing Studies) with experience teaching at the college level
• or a Master's (MA) in a related field (literature, technical communication, or similar) with experience teaching composition at the college level
• or a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in creative writing or an MA in a similar writing specialty with experience teaching composition at the college level
• or an MA in English Education with extensive teaching experience, ideally to include some experience teaching at the college level.

Adjuncts will have the possibility of rehire in subsequent semester depending on departmental needs.
