Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Telemetry team at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. This is a travel nurse position with a weekend schedule, offering 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The RN will work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, providing care to cardiac patients, including those undergoing pre and post-procedure care, cardiac drips, and telemetry monitoring.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar cardiac telemetry unit with experience managing ratios and acuity in a fast-paced setting.
Previous travel nurse experience is preferred; first-time travelers will be considered.
Strong experience in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac drips.
Experience with pre and post-procedure cardiac patients.
Comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:5-6, with the possibility of fluctuating based on unit needs.
Ability to work independently and handle a high-acuity, high-demand environment.
Required Certifications:
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BCLS (Basic Life Support)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIH)
