Job Summary:
In this role you will provide outpatient management and inpatient consults with exposure to advanced disease and challenging pathologies, including advanced valvular disease. Physicians provide telemedicine consults using our world-renowned AFHCAN telemedicine (www.afhcan.org) and manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout the state.
Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient management and inpatient consults
Perform invasive (non-interventional) cardiology procedures
Provide telemedicine consults using the AFHCAN telemedicine system
Manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout Alaska
Travel to rural communities 2-3 days at a time, five to six times per year
Collaborate with a team of four FACC cardiologists

Compensation:
Salary: $800,000 base + $100,000 incentive plan (10.5 weeks of call required)
Sign on Bonus: $50,000
CME Allowance: $6,000
Relocation: $20,000

Qualifications & Requirements
Completion of an ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine
Fellowship in Cardiology
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiology
Willingness to travel to rural communities in Alaska 2-3 days at a time, five to six times per year
