Job Summary: As a member of the healthcare team. The Medical Director will be responsible for the healthcare program for the organization on all clinical issues involving clinical policies and procedures. This includes quality of service, development and maintenance of the quality assurance process, supervision of other medical providers, pharmacist and pharmaceutical, contract medical providers and provides for the medical care of the patient population. Supervises all subordinate employees of the Medical Department. Also serves as a physician providing primary care services at clinics in accordance with approved standardized procedures and protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Percentage of admin vs clinical duties 60/40
- Average volume: 10-13 patients a day
- Oversee 18 Providers
- Assists with recruitment and screening of potential medical personnel and specialty services personnel.
- Attend all training, meetings, and conferences as required.
- Travels to satellite clinics of the Organization to monitor and oversee healthcare programs, including auditing of charts, Contract Health Service and referrals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
- Salary: $163-$200/HR
- Sign on Bonus: $100,000k
- Relocation: $10K

Schedule:
- Tuesday-Friday 7-6 or Monday – Friday 8-5
Setting:
- Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), providing primary care services to both Native and non-Native community members
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current California License as Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
- Board certified or Board eligible in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or other closely related specialty.
- At least five (5) years of experience in ambulatory outpatient medicine.
- Must have a current DEA narcotic license.
- Certified as a preceptor for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, or willing to be certified.
- Current BLS, ACLS
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license and current car insurance sufficient to be insurable.
