We are seeking an experienced Clinical Hospital Pharmacist for a 13-week contract in beautiful Bangor, Maine! This role offers weekly pre-tax pay of $3,366 along with comprehensive benefits. Location: Bangor, ME Setting: Inpatient/Acute/Hospital Shift: 5x8; Mon-Friday; Shift Varied Benefits: Health/Vision/Dental/Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, 401k, Travel Reimbursement, Referral Bonus Clinical Pharmacist Duties: -Review prescription orders both electronically and written for accuracy and completeness. -Order entry for hand written physician orders. - Screen medication orders for allergies, interactions, correct dosage, etc. and document interventions as appropriate. - Prepare and dispense prescribed medications for outpatients and community. - Provide technician guidance and support. - Counsel patients regarding drug therapy when requested. - Using automated dispensing machines. - Oversight of automated dispensing machine utilization. - Utilize various resources for obtaining drug information. - Follow procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous drugs. - Ability to lift large heavy items; may include up to 12 liters of fluid or 50 pounds of weight. - Preparing clinic medications for delivery. - Controlled substance inventory. - Double checking all technician work. - Other duties as assigned.
