The Opportunity
RIVA is seeking a ServiceNow developer to develop highly complex, mission-critical scoped applications. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be part of a development team working alongside other ServiceNow Developers, Administrators, and Architects. You’ll be creating workflows, configuring modules, and designing applications for various parts of the project’s platform. As the ideal candidate, you will be able to think critically in solving urgent mission issues, focusing on supporting the development of ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, CSM, WSD, HRSD and scoped SN Applications.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast-paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate will ideally be experienced in interfacing with both contractors and government employees. The ServiceNow developer will be competent in CMDB data management, integrations, troubleshooting, reporting, and dashboards. The candidate should speak well in front of an audience, be able to present briefs to government personnel, and be able to provide whiteboard sessions and presentations to personnel in a clear, concise but comprehensive manner.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in agile daily scrums and ceremonies, updating stories daily and documenting development progress and collaborating across platform teams.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the ServiceNow platform including ITSM, ITBM, CSM, WSD, HRSD, and scoped SN Applications.
- Help to develop code, unit test, hold code reviews, check in code, and help to build the code pipeline for continuous integration/continuous delivery.
- Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of new applications and modules and configure application UI, workflow, and API.
- Design, create, and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs including advanced scripting of each.
- Support in the development of use cases and testing procedures, ensuring product functionality, debugging, and testing is completed prior to production deployment.
- Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.
- Coordinate with multiple departments within and outside of the customer’s organization to accomplish project tasks.
- Ensure all development is created in alignment with the ServiceNow Platform Guidance and ServiceNow Technical Best Practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS with 3 years software development experience with 2+ years’ experience in ServiceNow implementations.
- ServiceNow Administrator Certification.
- Minimum 3 years ServiceNow experience in designing, developing, building, and customizing applications and service catalog requests.
- Experience with creation and modification of automated workflows.
- Experience with ITSM, ITBM, CSM, WSD, HRSD, and scoped SN Applications.
- Extensive understanding of the ways in which ServiceNow can be configured and customized and scripting within the tool.
- Independent self-starter and proactive at developing solutions and solving business problems using ServiceNow.
- Experience in scrum and agile frameworks for development to include task management, performing stand-ups and sprint reviews, gathering requirements, and creating documentation.
- ITIL v4 - Foundation.
- Previous Federal experience is highly desired.
- ServiceNow EAM or ITAM experience.
