Job Purpose:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all processes and products meet the highest quality and safety standards in a Welding/Fabrication Job Shop.
Tasks:
- Develop and implement quality and safety programs for welding processes
- Ensure compliance with AISC standards and other relevant regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality and safety issues
- Train and educate employees on quality and safety standards and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the manufacturing process
- Manage and maintain quality and safety documentation and records
- Lead investigations into quality and safety incidents and develop and implement corrective actions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of quality-related experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of management/leadership experience required.
- Previous manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing, steel fabrications, quality, and safety management
- Knowledge of AISC standards and other relevant regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
