QUALITY MANAGER

Ilmor Engineering provides design, development, testing, and manufacturing of performance engines and parts for major manufacturers and racing teams throughout the world. At Ilmor, we offer engineering and support services from clean sheet to completed project. Our team utilizes their expertise and ingenuity to create innovative original concepts or provide creative solutions to existing high-performance designs.

*** This position will start in Plymouth, MI, with training in North Carolina. The position will be fully based in our brand new Marine Technical Center in New Hudson when it opens in Spring/Summer 2025***

The Quality Manager will work closely with our Supply Chain, eCommerce and Marine Engineering teams to ensure Ilmor's high standards for quality are met at each step of the marine engine build process. The position will be responsible for supplier quality issues, resolutions tracking and quarantining of any sub-standard components, taking the lead on next step resolutions, and conducting supplier visits/audits when necessary. You will provide onsite support for Supplier/Internal Quality Standards and ISO: 9001.

Responsibilities:

70% Quality Management

• Manage the QMS and Quality Processes for engine assembly
• Oversee all internal and external Corrective and Preventive Actions
• Support current and future supplier development to automotive standards
• Conduct on-site visits and audits of suppliers to review their processes
• Support the Marine R&D Engineering team through product design, validation and approval processes for new engineered components
• Work in close partnership with Production (all levels), Process Engineering and Plant Leadership

30% ISO and General Process Compliance

• Maintain, update and lead the execution of all documented ISO related procedures, processes, and forms
• Perform Internal ISO Audits as well as train additional internal auditors.
• Organize and oversee regular ISO Management Review meetings
• Train employees in the relevant aspects of ISO that applies directly to their position
• Overseeing IML’s internal Gauge Calibration System.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a technical field, Bachelor's Preferred
• 5+ years supplier development and supplier relationship experience.
• 5+ years of ISO experience in manufacturing
• High attention to detail
