Medica Services Company LLC has an opening for a Senior Data Warehouse Developer at its facility in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Duties include:

1. Analyzing information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
2. Designing, developing, and modifying software systems.
3. Monitoring the functioning of equipment to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
4. Modifying existing software to correct errors and adapting it to new hardware.
5. Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
6. Creating technical and design documents independently and in collaboration with the Data Architecture team.
7. Comprehending and analyzing business requirements specific to Analytics Data Mart.
8. Translating requirements into Functional and Technical Specifications for Common Information Model and other Medica Data warehouses.
9. Working on database design, data analysis, development, SQL performance tuning, data warehousing ETL process, and data conversions.
10. Creating robust applications and services through testing and validations.
11. Creating Deployment Plans, Deployment Scripts, Code Merges, and Source Control configuration.
12. Developing and creating transformation queries, views, and stored procedures for ETL processes and process automations.
13. Shifting the development from Informatica to Snowflake environment to perform ETL.
14. Performing root cause analysis and problem resolution for defects and incidents.
15. Advocating and helping with advanced testing in support of the Snowflake environment.
16. Supporting and maintaining Service Level Agreements established by Medica IT to meet maintenance contracts for all software systems and services.
17. Partnering effectively with Data Architects, Business Analysts, ETL developers, PMO, and other IT groups.
18. Developing relationships within and outside of Medica IT, Business, and partners.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technology field. Position also requires five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience with Informatica Power Center 9.1 and three years of experience in a data warehouse environment and building ETL solutions using Informatica & Oracle; ETL (SAS) experience, business intelligence/data warehousing methodology; proficiency in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL. At least one year of this experience must have included using Snowflake. The wage range is $141,898.00/year to $168,600.
