We are seeking a Lead Engineer with experience in Windows extensions across both server and desktop environments, along with strong expertise in supporting both desktop and web applications. This role is pivotal in the development and maintenance of our StepWise integration, driving innovation and ensuring seamless functionality.

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the development of solutions that advance key business domains, leveraging mobile, web, cloud, and API technologies. Your technical expertise will guide both internal and external developers in solving complex business challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build solutions for web-based and mobile-based portal applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, analyze, and review business, system, and technical requirements, prioritizing tasks and providing guidance to other team members.
• Develop and support Windows-based applications across server and desktop environments.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using Java, Mulesoft APIs, and open-source technologies such as Angular and React.
• Work with Azure DevOps, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and version control.
• Document development and operational procedures, including implementing monitoring solutions.
• Apply industry best practices for software development, including automated integration, test-driven development, reusable code principles, object-oriented design, and software configuration management.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, peer reviews, and collaborate with QA teams to document and define test criteria.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced working knowledge and skill of professional field with ability to function as a subject matter expert for other staff across multiple technologies
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 7 years of work experience beyond degree.
• Work experience as a .NET Developer and/or Java
• Familiarity with agile environments
• Troubleshooting abilities and strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work experience with content management and search solutions
• Work experience on open source technologies like Angular, React, NodeJS
• In-depth knowledge writing complex SQL queries for relational and no-SQL databases
• Proficiency in building web-based and/or mobile applications including Flutter
• API development experience using Mulesoft or Java
• Experience in one of the Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) with end to end application building, source controlling and deployment

This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office - Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI - for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.

The full salary range for this position is $98,400 - $168,600. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation.
