Role Overview

The firm is seeking a talented Architect with experience in designing life sciences facilities, including laboratories, research centers, and pharmaceutical environments. The ideal candidate will lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring that designs meet client needs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design and planning of life sciences and research facilities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  2. Develop conceptual designs, construction documents, and technical specifications in collaboration with project teams.
  3. Work closely with scientists, researchers, and facility managers to understand project requirements and functional needs.
  4. Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to integrate architectural and MEP systems seamlessly.
  5. Conduct site visits and construction administration to oversee project progress and resolve design challenges.
  6. Ensure that projects align with sustainability goals, LEED standards, and cutting-edge laboratory design practices.
  7. Stay up-to-date with life sciences industry trends, laboratory design advancements, and building codes.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  2. Licensed Architect (or on track for licensure) preferred.
  3. 4+ years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on life sciences, biotech, or research facilities.
  4. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  5. Strong understanding of lab planning, cleanroom design, and biosafety levels.
  6. Experience with permitting, zoning, and regulatory approvals related to life sciences projects.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
