Overview
Lead the mechanical design and development of custom RF and microwave products, including integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs) and amplifiers. Oversee new product introduction (NPI) and document control processes to ensure efficient design, production transfer, and documentation management.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Manage the Mechanical Engineering team, ensuring efficient product design and development.
- Oversee NPI (New Product Introduction) to ensure smooth production transitions.
- Supervise the Document Control team, maintaining accurate electronic documentation.
- Standardize mechanical design processes and drive continuous improvement.
Technical Execution
- Develop innovative mechanical designs to optimize SWaP, automation, and reliability.
- Lead product design, validation, and production release.
- Improve manufacturing techniques for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Design and validate automated test equipment (ATE).
- Organize and lead design reviews (PDR, CDR, PRR) for management and customers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Degree : BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (MS preferred).
- Experience : 15+ years in RF/microwave product design, packaging, and manufacturing.
- Skills : SolidWorks, ANSYS, LabVIEW, ERP, and document control systems.
- Expertise : RF/microwave design for combat, flight, and space applications.
- Leadership : Strong management skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Security : US citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance.
