AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.

How you will create an impact

Reporting to the Vice President, IT Production Management, the SAP BPC Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing SAP-BPC solutions across the AIG enterprise. The candidate should possess strong SAP-BPC NetWeaver (Classic) experience with multiple end-to-end Lifecycle implementations (SDLC) with a focus on Budgeting and Planning solutions using SAP-BPC. The candidate should have excellent insights into functional and technical aspects of SAP software components and provide solution & architectural recommendations on potential SAP changes.

The ideal candidate will work across various global initiatives and play a pivotal role in the end-to-end implementation of solutions supporting FP&A and controllers, including initiation and discovery, design, build test, and deploy. The candidate should have strong ABAP development skills including BAPI, BADI, Enhancement Framework, Function Modules, and Dialog Programming.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies business requirements, functional and system specifications that meet business requirements, maps them to systems capabilities, and recommends technical solutions utilizing SAP reporting tools.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the SAP-EPM space, including BPC & BOBJ, and develop a roadmap to further benefit from the new features and capabilities.
  • Provide thought leadership in guiding the business and technology teams on the emerging trends in SAP-BPC, BTP, and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with the Functional/Business & Architectural services team in designing scalable, sustainable, and adaptable solutions.
  • Convert & map business requirements to actionable technical build items.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work well and interact with various departments throughout the organization.
  • Educate the business and IT teams on how best to leverage & optimize existing technology.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and coach technical resources in the team and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency and system performance.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP reporting tools (EPM, Analysis for Office, Web Intelligence, SAP Analytics Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with building Core Data Services (CDS) views using ABAP development tools in Eclipse.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust data models, data flows, and data integration processes using SAP Datasphere (and/or using SAP BTP services).
  • Strong experience in HANA Modeling, building data models, HANA SQL scripts, Table Function, etc. to support business needs.
  • Strong SAP-BW skills and proficiencies in SAP BTP Datasphere technology, with the ability to design, integrate, and implement customized data models supporting business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex data requirements and design appropriate solutions using the existing technology stack.
  • Develops proof of concepts to demonstrate proposed technical solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.
  • Looking for 12+ years of experience & expertise in areas of SAP BPC 10.1 (classic), SAP BW/HANA, SAP BOBJ-Webi.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP MDG, S/4HANA Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and CDS views development techniques.
  • Experience in HANA modeling including building calculation views and HANA SQL scripting highly desired.
  • The position will also be responsible for researching, analyzing, and proposing new technical advancements in the EPM and data warehousing space.
  • Experience in SAP Analytics Cloud platform, including data modeling, visualization, planning, and predictive analytics is preferred.
  • Experience in SAP BTP Datasphere technology, with the ability to design, integrate, and implement customized data models supporting business needs.
  • Exposure to IFRS & GAAP accounting.
  • Ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP-MDM and its integration to BPC and Datawarehouse.
  • Focus on self-driven learning to accelerate self as well as the organization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java Script, Python, and R programming.
  • Knowledge of other SaaS Planning tools and SAP integration suite is ideal.

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $99,000-$143,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
