This position requires complex technical knowledge of BizTalk Server 2020, with a strong understanding of BizTalk development concepts. Candidates should have a good understanding and work experience with overall API Management concepts and fundamentals. The ability to create conceptual end-to-end integration deliverables, technical specification documents, and recommend high-quality solutions for the BizTalk integration platform is essential.
The candidate should be able to analyze, code, test, and implement in coordination with management, associates, and end users while following the Enterprise SDLC. This role also serves as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. The candidate may oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- System Enhancement - Performs actions that evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications. Utilizes BizTalk Platform to build middleware integrations, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provides new feature time estimates for system changes and assists in implementing modifications. Executes test plans to validate application functions as designed. Collaborates with other teams to ensure proper integration with various internal and external systems.
- Analysis - Collects data related to user requests and determines scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspects business specifications, programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Experience in troubleshooting BizTalk applications, including working with debuggers, BizTalk Administration, and configuration tools. Identifies root causes for issues and implements fixes.
- Business Support - Provides technical support to production systems by addressing reported issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Drafts documentation for system, end user, and operational purposes, including technical specifications and application designs. Hands-on experience in using software development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Provide 24/7 support and maintenance for deployed BizTalk solutions and weekend support to monitor job runs.
- Technical Expertise - Experience in developing BizTalk solution objects such as orchestrations, maps, schemas, adapters, ports, pipelines, and using custom functoids and shapes. Actively involved in the system design, analysis, development, integration, and implementation of applications with BizTalk Server 2020 and IIS Server. Extensively worked on XML technologies like XSD, XSLT, XQuery , and XPath for data transformations in BizTalk. Good experience as an administrator and monitoring BizTalk environments. Strong knowledge in publishing schemas and orchestrations as WCF services and consuming WCF and web services hosted by different layers and languages. Used custom adapters and out-of-the-box BizTalk adapters such as WCF-SQL, File, Office 365, WCF LOB adapters, WCF-BasicHttp, WCF-Custom, WCF-WSHttp, SFTP, FTP, and MSMQ. Experience with EDI formats. Solid knowledge in custom pipeline component development. Extensively used Business Rules Engine (BRE) as a part of business logic implementation, routing, and validation. Hands-on experience in building BizTalk components and helper classes using C#. Hands-on solid experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using BizTalk 2020. Strong knowledge and familiarity with Visual Studio 2019/2022. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages. Hands-on experience in SQL Server database development - Stored Procedures, functions, and triggers. Experience in automated deployment using Azure pipelines. Understanding of Azure DevOps and SDLC process. Knowledge of logging systems like Splunk or ELK.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.
Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree
Preferred Area of Study: Computer Science
Hands-on experience with BizTalk Server 2020, SOAP, JSON, XSD, WSDL, C#, SSIS, SQL Server, Postman, SOAPUI, and Azure DevOps.
