Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and codes multi-specialty profee surgery cases performed in the OR (including but not limited to: General Surgery, Plastics, Ortho, Neurosurgery, and Otolaryngology) by reviewing documentation and confirming coding is in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identifies trends/problems in medical documentation and recommends possible solutions. Assists with billing and documentation in daily interaction with physicians regarding various inquiries relating to CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- One of the following: Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) or CCS--Physician-based (CCS-P).
- 5 years of CPT and Diagnostic coding experience in a healthcare provider or a third party payer setting. Clinical knowledge preferred.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range:
$30.49 - $46.03 /hour
