Location: Linthicum, MD (onsite, 5 days a week)

Clearance and Certification: Requires Active Secret Clearance and currently valid Security+CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 or 8140 compliant security certification.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the IT Lead for a large, classified government contract(s); overseeing the effective maintenance and operational activities of the entire IT infrastructure including servers, desktop, and networking equipment.
2. Leverage experience and external resources to maximize the performance and efficiency of existing network infrastructure, using a NetApp storage solution.
3. Act as a senior technical resource for the System Administration team; mentor and guide junior team members.
4. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in written and verbal formats.
5. Ensure necessary IT projects are completed independently or assigned/delegated to others as necessary.
6. Obtain and analyze internal and external customer requirements and recommend equipment and software as needed.
7. Implement system enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
8. Manage backup infrastructure and provide backup and recovery services.
9. Manage virus protection as directed by policy.
10. Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Cyber Security team.
11. Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions as directed by policy.
12. Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures as needed.
13. Provide technical support/expertise to other classified programs across the campus, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associate degree with 11 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 7 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience.
2. Possess a currently active DoD Secret security clearance.
3. Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
4. Experience operating under and managing systems within current applicable information systems compliance standards.
5. Experience maintaining Classified Windows Domains, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS Server, DHCP Server, and Windows Server Update Servers (WSUS).

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience supporting license managers.
2. Experience supporting golden image creation, deployment, and underlying infrastructure.
3. Experience deploying vulnerability scanning tools and remediation.
4. Experience leading a technical team of IT professionals.
5. Experience giving technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
