Our client is a media company. They seek a Union Payroll Manager to join their Los Angeles, CA office.

Responsibilities

1. Manage all activities of the Union Payroll Team supporting various team operations.
2. Uphold excellent customer service by anticipating issues and proactively developing solutions.
3. Handle escalations, directing the Union Payroll team with the needed corrective actions.
4. Establish and adhere to payroll schedules to ensure the data required is received promptly.
5. Ensure the Union Payroll Team is knowledgeable in union pay and paid time off rules.
6. Develop and implement innovative payroll processes and revise current processes.
7. Train the Union Payroll Team on how to use the time/attendance and payroll systems.
8. Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all payroll processes.
9. Develop a cross-collaborative working relationship with key functional partners.
10. Lead with a one-team approach in dealing with internal and external stakeholder queries.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of payroll process experience.
2. Familiar with media/entertainment industry union payroll.
3. Knowledge of IBEW, IATSE, and NABET collective bargaining agreements.
4. Able to manage changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
5. Understanding of FLSA, federal, state, and local wage regulations.
6. Able to build and manage highly collaborative and effective teams.
7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
8. Advanced Excel (V-Lookup and Pivot Tables) skills.
