Summary:
Working closely with the Building Control Systems Specialist, the Control Systems Technician is responsible for the installation, programming, testing, calibrating, operating, and repair of building control systems. This includes systems such as HVAC, lighting, security, and fire alarm. The Control Systems Technician must have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including ALC BMS, microblock coding, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, program, test, calibrate, operate, and repair building control systems.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all building control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair building control system problems.
• Work with architects, engineers, and contractors to design and implement new building control systems.
• Maintain records of all building control system work.
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Associates degree in engineering, technology, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in the installation, programming, testing, calibrating, operating, and repair of building control systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

77,900.00 – 112,900.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
