Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Infrastructure Engineering to lead the development and implementation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving strategic planning, overseeing engineering teams, and delivering innovative and cost-effective infrastructure solutions. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of modern infrastructure technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and deployment of Infrastructure as a Service solutions aligned with technology and data objectives.
- Contribute to tech transformation initiatives by integrating digital ecosystems and eliminating legacy systems with modern, cost-effective alternatives.
- Manage and mentor a global team of senior managers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, identity management, quality, and other stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Establish and prioritize a roadmap for infrastructure and cloud product development, ensuring agile delivery of solutions.
- Enhance automation, observability, and self-service capabilities to improve service reliability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee infrastructure reliability engineering practices, ensuring high performance and adherence to service-level objectives.
- Develop financial strategies for infrastructure investments, ensuring alignment with cost-saving objectives.
- Drive compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- 10-12 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field, with strong expertise in designing and operating enterprise solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in delivering scalable, reliable infrastructure services across Linux, Windows, databases (Oracle, SQL, Postgres), and virtualization technologies (VMware, OpenStack, Ku-Virt).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and DevSecOps.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing IT budgets.
