Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to the Cole Engineering Center in Warren MI, three times per week, at minimum (or other frequency dictated by the business).
The Role:
This team is responsible for sourcing technology purchases (Software, Software as a Service, Infrastructure) on a regional and global basis. The primary responsibility is to develop, negotiate, and implement sourcing strategies by working with key stakeholders on technology requirements, IT, Security, and Legal, which requires preparing and completing sourcing recommendations to various levels of management.
What You'll Do:
Understand the IT industry and the long-term direction GM/IT is headed.
Determine viable suppliers for technology requirements.
Develop and manage suppliers under the guidance of Quality, Service, Technology, and Price strategies, including understanding deadlines, required lead times, supplier contracts, and application types.
Participate actively with key stakeholders, including IT, business stakeholders, Legal, and Security.
Manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines.
Adhere to corporate purchasing and accounting policies and procedures.
Negotiate price, terms, and other items to complete the full contract package.
Utilize the GPSC Sourcing Process to manage sourcing packages.
Utilize the GPSC Sourcing Process (Request for Quotation, Analysis of Quotation, Source Selection) to establish a capable and competitive supply base.
Develop benchmarking for each sourcing package.
